If you’re looking for local creative activities in term time too, our friends at Beanstalk Arts have recently relaunched their real life after school ukelele groups in south east London, and there are still a few spaces for new starters in their Tuesday and Thursday beginners groups in the summer term!
Designed for children in reception and above, Beanstalk Arts use their own unique creative curriculum with a different story each week to inspire our ukulele learning. Term one will take your children from total beginner to confidently strumming single finger chords, singing chords and improvising! Supported by practice videos you can access between sessions, the sessions involve lots of musicianship skills of rhythm, singing and composition, making the ukulele a great first instrument in helping develop your children’s musical confidence in these joyful and friendly small group classes.
Beanstalk Arts also run daytime preschooler interactive musical storytelling ‘Cello Stories’ classes for little folks and their grown ups, and uke courses for adults too.
Find out more on their website at www.beanstalkarts.co.uk or find them @beanstalkarts on instagram or Facebook.
